Now have a look at how many searches there are for that product. Remember that the results given by Google are monthly. You want a minimum of 3000 searches per month. Then you look at the competition. The higher the competition the higher the minimum bid amount is to get on page one. Also, have a look at the estimated required bid.

But keep in mind that someone entering the search phrase “how to knit gloves” wants to know how to knit gloves. It is then reasonable to assume that out of every 100 clicks on your ad at least one sale should be made. And working on a 100% profit.
